The Chicago Sky have something going and have had all summer long as they beat up the New York Liberty behind a balanced attack led by their stars Sylvia Fowles and Elena Delle Donne. The Sky beat the Liberty 82-64 and used a 29-12 3rd frame to pull away and make this a celebration as the Sky get their 1st ever Playoff Berth in Franchise History.

Behind a 14 points and seven rebound effort from Sylvia Fowles and 11 points apiece from both Swin Cash and Elena Delle Donne the Sky's Front Line dominated the Liberty's from jump street. Sky Lead Guard Courtney VanderSloot has been solid on the Sky's recent win streak as she added 10 points and seven assists.

The Liberty couldn't ditto anything that worked in the 1st two frames as they were only down 38-33. Liberty Forward/Center Plenette Pierson led all scorers with a game-high 25 points as she went 11 for 16 from the field. She jut had no help and it was like her versus Fowles, Delle Donne, and Cash all at once and in the 2nd half it was too much.

Now the Sky not only clinch a playoff berth but they are looking at getting Eastern Conference Home-Court Advantage as well as Home Court throughout. They lead the East by 3 1/2 games and trail the Western Conference leading Twin Cities Lynx by just a 1/2 game in the loss column for best WNBA Record.

Congrats to Coach Pokey Chatman and the Chicago Sky on their 1st ever Playoff Berth!
