The New York Yankees get Center Fielder Curtis Granderson back in time for him to join the mini run the Yanks are on as they finish the sweep of the Blue Birds from North of the Border. Throw in a October-Like Performance from Andy Pettitte an the Yanks are right in the middle of every one's business AL East and Wild Card.

Pettitte went six as he allowed just a run on four hits as he struck out three and walked three. The only run Pettitte gave up was a Solo Bomb by 'Jays Back Stop J.P. Arencibia. Big Andy left with a 2-1 lead as the Yanks then tacked on three more in the bottom half of the sixth to take a commanding lead 5-1. The Blue Birds then add two more late and then get credits rolled on them by David Robertson and not the 'Sandman" Mo Rivera.

Yankees welcomed Curtis Granderson back as he went Solo Bomb to start things off for the Yanks and that is definitely another piece of Maple they needed in that line up. Eduardo Nunez knocked in two of the five Yanks runs as well. Blue Birds Starter J.A. Happ left after 5 1/3 innings giving up four runs as he took the loss. The Yanks only could put up four hits but seized the most of their opportunities. The Yanks are now as we go to press 2 1/2 games out in the AL Wild Card for the #2 Slot held down by the Swingin' Athletics. They are six back of the Carmines for the AL East lead and things could get real dicey in September.
