The WNBA East has a clear path and that path will run right through Chi City as the Chicago if they has any doubters put them to rest in Fulton County and the Highlight Factory 404 tonight. The Sky go into Atlanta and put a 67-56 beat down on the Defending WNBA Champion Atlanta Dream and the Sky has officially fallen in the East.

Behind another big time performance from Sky Rook Wing Forward Elena Delle Donne (25 pts and pictured right) the Sky led from the jump as the Dream had no answer all night long. The Sky jumped out to a 18-12 first frame then led at the Break 35-26 as the Dream closed the 3rd frame 15-12 but that wasn't nearly enough. The Sky then roll the credits in the Highlight Factory 404 with a 20-15 last frame as Sky Forward Swin Cash added 12 points and seven rebounds with Sylvia Fowles chipping in with 10 points and thirteen rebounds.

It wasn't just the Sky front line as it has been the guard play between the Duo of Epiphany Prince and Courtney Vandersloot. They combined for a 16 points, eleven rebounds, and ten helpers night and that clearly has been the edge in the Sky's latest run to Team History. Dream Stars Angel McCoughtry and Erica de Souza did their part as Angel led the Dream with 20 points and Brazil's de Souza added 12 points and sixteen boards.

The Sky now look to chase down the WNBA's Best Overall record as they are currently a 1/2 game off the Minnesota Lynx for that honor with the L.A. Sparks a close third at 18-8. The Sky, Lynx, and Sparks have all clinched a slot in the 2013 Playoffs.

Next up the Sky will host the Dream on Saturday August 31st in Chi-City at 7pm CT.
