The Boston Red Sox were determined on Saturday Afternoon after last night getting shutout 2-0 to play the Redeem Team and the Redeem Team it would be. Jonny Gomes got the Carmines started with a Three-Run Big Fly in the 1st to give the Red Sox a 3-0 lead and they wouldn't relinquish it as they hang onto to beat the Dodgers 4-2.

It also helped that they had their #1 on the Hill in LHP Jon Lester as he went 7 1/3 innings and allowed one run on three hits while walking four and striking out six. The Dodger Ryu was touched up in Inning one and slowed a little after that but still allowed four runs total on five hits through five as he struck out seven Red Sox Hitters and walked none.

The Dodgers hit into four line drives to end innings as they hit the Stitched One but none of them had "Eyes". The "Cuban Missile" Yasiel Puig led the Dodgers going 2 for 3 and scoring one run. Dodgers First Baseman Adrian "A-Gon" Gonzalez was 1 for 4 with two Ribbies.

As we go to press it looks like the Rays will beat the Yanks again and move up 1/2 game in the AL East on the Red Sox. The Dodgers are locked in as the NL West leaders and game three should be a good one.
