The Baltimore Orioles left the Motel with Bags in hand and headed to the Fenway Visitors Clubhouse with one thing on their mind and that was to get a "W" by any means necessary. Chris Tillman goes seven solid innings and Machado and Charm City Favorite "Crush" as in first baseman Chris Davis handled things at the dish. The O's cuff'em like the good hands people and get a much-needed "W" as hey salvage what could have been a horrible ride to the next destination.

The Carmines struck first as they scored one in the bottom half of the 2nd frame and the O's answered right back in the 3rd with a crooked two. The O's then add one in the 5th as Carmines OF Shane Victorino goes Solo Shot in the 6th to close all the scoring in this one. Tillman was otherwise cruising as he yielded two runs on six hits while striking out eight.  O's Captain Save-A-Game Jim Johnson closed the door for the O's getting the save. The O's came up big when they had to and that is a mark of a solid Club and Skip Showalter knew this was a big one as they all are big this late in August heading into Labor Weekend.

Carmines Starter and Ace Jon Lester went six giving up three runs on five hits as he walked three and struck out four. Jacoby Ellsbury and Victorino continue to sizzle in the Fenway Lights as they collect two hits and one was a Solo Job by Shane. Carmines 1b Dan Nava also went 3 for 4 and scored a run as the plot thickens in the AL East.

The Rays miss a chance to close on the carmines as they lose to the Halos. The Lead for the Carmines in the AL East is at 2.5 games. O's leave the Hub six back in the East but 3.5 games out in the AL Wild card behind the Athletics.
