The Cincinnati Reds are in a fight with the NL Central leading Buccos and 2nd place Redbirds but refuse to go away. With the D-Backs heading to PNC for three and the Redbirds visiting the rival North Siders of Wrigleyville f or three the Reds have to make a move now.

Behind a big time performance coming out of the Motel from Red Legs Starter Tony Cingrani the Red Legs are officially on the move in the Central. Cingrani went 6 1/3 innings allowing four hits and one run while striking out nine Brewers. Red Legs Shortstop Zach Cozart got them started as he tied the game at 1-1 for the Red Legs. Then first Baseman Joey Votto goes Solo Bomb for the lead and the final score a 2-1 Red Legs triumph. Brew Crew Khris Davis scored the only run for the Brewers with a Solo bomb off Cingrani in the 2nd.

Brew Crew Starter Kyle Lohse went seven and allowed just two runs on five hits while walking four and striking out four. That Bomb from Votto was the back breaker for the Brew Crew's .500 Pitcher at 8-8 in 2013. The Red Legs closed it with Cuban "Fire Starter" Aroldis Chapman striking out two and getting Save #30.

As we go to press the Red Legs are a 1/2 game back of the NL Wild Card Leading Redbirds and 2 1/2 back of the NL Central leading Buccos as that NL Central Race heads deep into August locked with three teams having a legitimate shot.
