The Washington Nationals leave Citi Field winning two of three as RHP Doug Fister answered the bell today for the Nats in the "Rubber Game". "Fist" goes 6 1/3 frames allowing five hits and striking out three as that Nats Pen took it home throwing no-hit hardball the rest of the way.

It was a Ryan Zimmerman single in the 1st off Amazins' Starter Dillon Gee scoring Jayson Werth that was the lone run of the game. Mets starter Gee pitched well going five strong allowing a run on six hits as he did walk five hitters and strike out five. None of those free passes though came back to bite him or the Mets!

Mets mustered just five hits versus Nats Pitching including Juan Lagares going 2 for 3 for the Mets. New York falls to 16-10 but still lead the NL East by 3.5 games over both the Braves and Marlins. The Nats move to 12-14 as they start picking up a head of steam as we get in May Hardball.
