The Chicago Cubs outside of the Chicago Blackhawks the talk of Chicago Sports right took their six-game win streak into the last game of the series versus a Pittsburgh Pirates Team that has been scuffling. Well Buccos starter and Veteran RHP A.J. Burnett answered the bell as he goes three-hit hardball over seven frames as he struck out seven. Those five free passes never once came back to bite Burnettt and the Buccos as that offense finally go to Cubs pitching.

It was a scoreless game until the 5th when Pirates Francisco Cervelli hits a RBI single that made it 1-0 Pirates. Cubs Starter Jake Arrieta pitched a whale of a ball game as well going seven frames of five hit hardball giving up that 5th frame run. Cubs middle man Zac Rosscup was touched up in the 8th relieving Arrieta as he gave up two RBI doubles.

The Pirates did their damage as their 2 through 6 hitters each had hit. Buccos Captain Save-A-Game Mark Melancon gets his 9th save. Burnett moves to 3-1 while Arrieta falls to 4-4... Cubs also fall to 21-16 while the Buccos move to 18-20...
