The Washington Nationals coming off a 4-1 win over the Phightin' Phils and the Chicago Cubs coming off losing two of three to the Arizona D-Backs. It was Nats starter Tanner Roark out dueling Cubbies starter Tsuyoshi Wada as they both pitched well enough to win with Roark getting a run in the 6th to give him the "W" as the Wada gets a no-decision.

It was a Denard Span lead-off blast that set the table for the Nats making it 1-0 only to see Cubs #1 Donut-Runner (Rookie) Kris Bryant taking Roark deep bottom half of the 1st for a 1-1 tie at the end of one.

That score would hold up through five full frames as Nats back stop Wilson Ramos takes Cubs middle-man Justin Grimm for another Washington Solo Blast making it 2-1 Nats. Both Pens would hold from there as Nats Captain Save-A-Game Drew Storen gets save #15 of #16.

Washington with the win moves to 27-18 as they extend that NL East lead after that poor April showing living up to expectations. The Cubbies fall to 24-20 still 2nd in the Central but they need to get back in the "W" Column chasing Redbirds 2K15 Business!
