The Golden State Warriors after the Houston Rockets jumped out to a 31-24 leas after one settled down and followed the lead of one "Fight for Mo" 2014-15 Recipient Stephen Curry to a game 1 victory 110-106.

Houston played well enough to win but they must get a better handle on Curry. It's not that Steph's game-high 34 points wasn't the game 1 deciding factor but how Curry went about going to get his 34.  A 13 for 22 from the field and 6 for 11 from deep if the Rockets do not challenge Curry on the defensive end it will be a short series.

G.S.W. lead 58-55 at the break and led through the 3rd as they held a 84-79 lead after three. It was nip and tuck throughout the 4th as the game was tied 97-97 with just under six minutes to go. "Dubs" then went on a 11-0 run and a 108-97 lead as Curry seven of the eleven points.

Clutch City on a money ball by Trevor Ariza made it 108-106 "Dubs" with 16 ticks left as Curry was fouled and made both of his free throw attempts for a 110-106 final. James Harden almost went triple-double with 28 points and eleven boards with nine assists. Ariza added 20 points as Clutch City shot under 40% from deep and under 70% from the stripe.

Joining Curry's 34 was Shaun Livingston's huge 18 points and seven boards off the bench as the Peoria, Illinois Native can still get down when needed. Draymond Green also missed a triple-double with 13 point and a dozen boards with eight helpers. G.S.W. stats across the board were eerily similar to the Rockets but Curry was the deciding factor.

Game 2 is Thursday May 21st at 9pm ET on NBA on ESPN...
