Neither Kansas City Royals starter Edison Volquez or Chicago Cubs starter Jake Arrieta was around to get a decision in a somewhat wild one at the "Friendly Confines" in Wrigleyville!  The Fireworks started early as the Royals first pitch they saw went souvenir setting the tone for that 8-4 Royals victory.

Arrieta first pitch "Express" was deposited right into the seats by Alcides Escobar making it 1-0 Royals. They get another bomb by Alex Gordon in the 2nd making it 2-0 Royals as Royals Nation took to the Twittisphere #RoyalsToWrigley as they took a 2-0 lead.

In the bottom half of the 3rd Kris Bryant doubles home Addison Russell making it 2-1 Royals after three. Salvador Perez goes deep in the 4th making it 3-1 Royals as Arrieta realizes now he is throwing B.P.! Eric Hosmer then doubles home Lorenzo Cain in the 6th making it 4-1 Royals as it looked to be a wash.

Then here came the Cubbies as Jorge Soler takes Volquez for a two-run blast in the 6th making it 4-3 Royals as both pitchers are sticking up the "Friendly Confines"! In the bottom half of the 7th Addison Russell takes Royals reliever Kelvin Herrera deep tying the game at 4-4 and we have a ball game.

The Cubs Pen though in the 8th could not hold the lead as K.C. scores a crooked three highlighted by a Cain RBI two-bagger and a two-base error making it 7-4 Royals. Escobar finishes the North Siders off with a RBI single for a final of 8-4 Royals.

K.C. moves to 29-18 while the Cubbies fall to 25-22 and stay away from that .500 mark North Siders that is your Kryptonite...

Cubs Nation all that #RoyalsToWrigley Stuff isn't that cool and don't get swept....
