Garrit Cole got the Pittsburgh Pirates on good footing on Friday and that momentum carried all they way through for the Buccos for a three-game sweep. The Pirates jumped all over Mets starter Jon Niese as he lasted just to the 5th.

It was the Buccos firing crooked numbers on the scoreboard in the 5th, 6th, and 7th frames. It was Buccos Star Outfielders Andre McCutchen (two-run HR in 5th) and Starlin Marte (three-run HR in the 6th) that put Gotham City's Senior Circuit Bunch away.

Francisco Liriano trying to find himself in the 2015 season that was himself today. He gives up a run on six hits going six frames as he struck out a dozen. The Pirates needed that jolt to get back into that two-headed race in the Central between the Cubs and Cardinals.

The Mets falling and falling fast falls to 24-21 and this is not what May 2015 was forecasted to be after that magnificent start in April for the Amazins'! The "Dark Knight" goes only every 5th day and David Wright appears to be hit by the Injury Plague not bug.
