The Pittsburgh Pirates when they need a "W" they just call on Ace RHP Garrit Cole as he dominates that Mets Line Up almost netting a complete job with a 4-1 win. Cole goes 8 1/3 frames allowing a run on six hits as he walks one and strikes out ten.

That Buccos line up talking hitters 5-8 accounted for all the Buccos runs and five of their seven hits. The bottom of the 2nd was highlighted by two doubles by "El Toro" Pedro Alvarez and Chris Stewart as they scored two runs in that frame.

Then in the 6th with the score 2-1 Pirates Andrew McCutchen gets a lead-off two-bagger and comes around to score on a RBI single from Jo Hung Kang. They added the 2n run off of an "El Toro" sac-fly making it 4-1 Buccos as all four runs were off Mets starter Noah Syndergaard. He went six allowing four runs (3 ER) on seven hits as he struck out five. Buccos Captain Save-A-Game Mark Melancon grabs his 10th save vs 11 chances.

As we go to press the Buccos move to 19-22 and that is 8 games back of Central leader the St. Louis Cardinals. The Amazins' free falling falls to 24-19 and 1.5 games back of the NL East leading Nats of D.C. Hardball...
