Behind a nice seven frames of two runs on eight hits given up by Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie Kansas City even their three-piece with the Tigers at 1-1. Guthrie had plenty of run support as K.C. put up crooked numbers in the 1st and 2nd to aid Guthrie.

It was a lead-off blast by Royals shortstop Alcides Ecobar (Video below) off Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez that got things going for K.C. and they never looked back. They scores six runs in the first four frames including a crooked two in the 1st and 2nd highlighted by that Solo Bomb by Escobar and a RBI Double by Eric Hosmer.

The Tigers get runs in the 2nd and 6th as Sanchez was chased after six and giving up six run (5 ER) on nine hits as he walked three and struck out two. Guthrie's 7 1/3 innings pitched were solid enough to get his 2nd win with as many losses in 2015.

K.C. moves to 19-11 while Detroit falls to 19-12 with the "Rubber Game" coming on ESPN Sunday Night Hardball tomorrow night at Comerica at 8pm ET...
