Clayton Kershaw would have told you even before tonight's game vs the Friars that getting the Dodgers back in the Win Column is way more important than the Scoreless Innings Streak. He should feel like that as he is a Winner and the best in the Show on the Bump right now. As for MLB Heads and Dodger Nation they wanted to see the Scoreless Innings Streak still going...

The Dodgers gave Kershaw early run support as they scored in the bottom half of the 4th on a Scott Van Slyke Single (he has been Lights out since being called back up by the way) scoring Dodgers All-Star Yasiel Puig. Then in the top half of the 6th with Kershaw working on a one-hitter Friars Hot Corner Chase Headley takes Kershaw Yard to tie the score at 1-1 and end the Scoreless Innings Streak at 41 Innings...Applause please MLB Heads and Dodger Nation!

The Dodgers though bounced right back in the bottom half of the 6th as A-Gon (Dodgers First Baseman Adrian Gonzalez) goes Sac-Fly scoring Hanley Ramirez pushing the score to 2-1 Dodgers as that would be the final score. Kershaw finished the game allowing that Solo HR and just three hits as he struck out eleven Friars. San Diego's Starter Odrisamer Despaigne pitched extremely well considering who his counterpart was as he goes seven allowing two runs on seven hits as he struck out seven Dodgers and walked no one.

LAD moves to 52-42 just a game ahead of the Gigantes in the NL West. The Friars fall to 40-52 which is still good for 3rd in the West.
