The Los Angeles Dodgers take over 1st place in the NL West with the San Francisco Giants idle. Dodgers Starter Dan Haren followed suit behind the other Dodgers pitchers allowing one hit through seven for his 8th "W" against just four defeats in 2014.

The Lone run scored by the Dodgers Offense came in the bottom half of the 7th on a Clint Robinson Single scoring Andre Ethier. Tribe Starter Corey Kluber went 6 2/3 innings scattering just six hits and striking out five as he takes a tough loss. Tribe Center fielder Michael Bourn was the only Indian who hit safely or it would have been a combined No-Hitter for Haren, Set-Up Man Brian Wilson, and Dodgers Captain Save-A-Game Kenley Jansen who gets his 25th save in 28 chances.

The Dodger cooking since June 8th when they were 33-31 and the NL West belonged to a 42-21 Giants Outfit. Since then the Gigantes have fallen off the Golden Gate and the "Boys in Dodger Blue" have gone 16-6. That win tonight finally puts the Dodgers over the .500 mark coming out of the home Dugout as those early Chavez Ravine Struggles were well-documented! The Tribe falls to 39-43 and that 3rd in the AL Central 7.5 games off the Motor City Kitties Pace!
