The Milwaukee Brewers to a man stepped up as did Starting Pitcher Willy Peralta and that Brew Crew Offense to take matters into their own hands. They avoid getting swept by the Redbirds of Baseball Town USA and also more importantly avoid moving to 2nd place for the 1st time in 2014 in the NL Central.

Peralta went seven strong allowing one run on three hits as he gave out no Free Passes and struck out five Redbirds. That Brewers Offense finally woke up scoring two in the 1st for a 2-0 lead settling things down. The Redbirds scored one in the 4th to make it 2-1 Brewers and it was all downhill for Redbirds Starer Carlos Martinez from the 4th on.

The Brewers score two in the 4th, one in the 5th, and three in the 6th to break the contest wide open. Martinez lasted just four innings giving up four runs on seven hits. Brewers LF Khris Davis had the big blow in the 5th with a Solo Bomb off Redbirds Reliever Seth Maness. The Brewers now in 1st as we head into the Midsummer Classic at 53-43. The Redbirds a game back at 52-44...
