It was the Mountaineers Guard Play that beat up the #8 Kansas Jayhawks in Morgantown on Saturday. Then for the Jayhawks they would have gotten beat by a Hundo if it wasn't for Freshman Andrew Wiggins going back home to drop a 41-Burger on Morgantown U.

West Virginia was in control from the jump as Guards Eron Harris and Juwan Staten lit up KU's Guard s all day long. They controlled the Tempo and the game was played at the Mountaineers Pace which playing at home is a bonus with the crowd already going. Harris had 28 points (5-7 3pt FG) and Staten 24 points on 14 for 20 from the Stripe as he also added nine helpers. WVU Small Forward Devin Williams added 22 points as he hauled in thirteen Oranges to control the Glass early for WVU. The Mountaineers led 50-38 at half only to go up 64-39 at the 16 minute mark. KU answered as Freshman Andrew Wiggins kept them afloat and got them right back in the ball game.

Wiggins handed Morgantown U 41 points on 12 of 18 from the field and 15 for 19 from the Stripe. He wreaked havoc late as his 41-Burger had all the Fixins' (Money Balls, Steals, Free Throws, and Dunks) but it was too little too late as KU had dug themselves a huge hole in the 2nd half. PF Perry Ellis (14 pts) and Brannen Greene (10 pts) were the only other KU Players in double figures. WVU shot above 50% from the field and the Arc and was the aggressor for the most part.

WVU moves to 9-9 in Big 12 play and 17-14 overall. The Jayhawks possible #1 seed in the Big Dance might have taken a hit as thy fall to 14-4 in the Big 12 but 23-8 overall.
