The Chicago Blackhawks coming off a disappointing night on Broad Street Philly last night losing in Extras at the 4.2 Second mark was looking for a little retribution tonight vs the Central Division leading St. Louis Blue sat the Madhouse.

The Hawks need a strong start and got one as they gets goals in all periods starting with Duncan Keith lighting the lamp with just 55 seconds left in frame one and that took something out of the Blue Notes. The 2nd goal in period two came on a Andrew Shaw goal late and the Hawks never looked back. Both Marcus Kruger and Ben Smith scored in the 3rd frame as Smith's was of the Power Play Variety as the Hawks need this game and those points as this marks the first time in 2013-14 they beat the Blues.

The Hawks just played Hawks Hockey and they needed to get back to that style before they head East with some tough outings. They also need to get back to this style as Winning Time Approaches. Hawks Net Minder Crawford stopped all 23 shots on net as the Blues rarely got any good looks.

In the grand scheme of things the Hawks move to 40-15-15 but more importantly get to 95 points as the Blues are at 47-15-7 with 101 points leading Ice Games. Fear the Indian Head will get the Canes, Preds, and Stars at the Madhouse through March 23rd before heading out East. Blues will get Pens, Flyers, and Leafs before seeing the Wild back in the Lou on March 27th.

It's past Crunch Time as the "Fight for Lord Stanley" is near...
