The Chicago Blackhawks know they will be heading East soon and they need to win the games on Home Ice and beat the Teams they are suppose to and its as simple as that. They needed a little magic at the Madhouse tonight as the Hawks get a Short-Handed Goal from the only Captain in the NHL that's Serious 24-7-365....Jonathan Toews.

There were no Lamps Lit in Frame One as we went to 0-0 after one,. The Hawks then go to their horses as Patrick Sharp opens his Goal Scoring again with a backhander to make it 1-0 Hawks. Kris Versteeg followed late in the 2nd with a wrister to make it 2-0 Hawks. It looked as though the Hawks were going to easily check the Win Column as the 'Canes strike at the 19:22 mark just 38 seconds left in frame two. That Goal turned "MO" right into the Carolina Locker room for Period Three.

Carolina then followed that score as Alexander Semin just three minutes into Frame Three scores to make it 2-2 as Hawks Nation was back thinking it might not be out year.  With the 'Canes getting another gift as the Hawks Michal Handzus aka "ZUS" gets a penalty Captain Serious dba Jonathan Toews gets a Shorthanded Goal to make it 3-2 and that score holds on as the Hawks Win! Hawks Win! Hawks Win!

Hawks Net minder Crawford stopped 26 of 28 as the 'Canes Goalie Anton Khudobin stopped 22 of 25 shots. The Hawks more importantly move to 41-15-15 with 97 points tied for 3rd with the Mighty Ducks. Hawks Patrick Kane out for an extended period of Time as the other Hawks need to step up as Captain Serious bailed them out tonight vs Carolina.
