The Pittsburgh Pirates are letting the NL Central and the Baseball World know there are no ones Farm League System as they are tying up their Core Players. The Pirates reportedly within the next 24 hours or so through numerous media outlets will lock up 25-year old Dominican Left Fielder Starling Marte for multiple years. That is good news for the Bucs considering his 2013 year at the Dish and in the Filed with CF and 2013 Senior Circuit M.V.P. Andrew McCutchen already locked up until 2018.

Marte had trouble with the Leather occasionally but had no problems at the dish. Starting in 135 games Marte scored 83 runs, swiped 41 bags, hit ten triples, and twenty-six doubles with an OPS of .784. He has to cut down on Strikeouts (135) as he only walked 25 times and that is a sign of an impatient young hitter and the Buccos and Marte hopefully will get that Ratio in favor of Marte in the coming years.

Buccos making moves as they try and grab that NL Central Pennant from Baseball Town USA...the Redbirds of St. Louis.
