The Manhattan Jaspers obviously had a tall order in front of them but that didn't keep them a little under three minutes from end of their Tilt with Louisville to believe they could do it. The Cards win 71-64 after being down 58-55 with a little over three minutes remaining.

It was the battles-tested Cardinals that came through because they have players and Sharp-Shooters like Russ Smith and Luke Hancock. Smith made a Money Ball to tie it at 58-58 as both the Jaspers and Card trade a bucket to make it 60-60 with under two minutes to go. Then it was the "Cool-Hand" Luke Show as he goes on a 8-0 run all by his lonesome to put the Card sup 68-62 as the Jaspers did get a bucket somewhere within the run. The Cards then pulled away lat as RUSS-diculous made three free throws in the end for a final of 71-64.

Cards get 18 points from Smith, 16 points and four rebounds from Hancock, and a double double from Montrezl Harrell adding 12 points and grabbing thirteen Oranges. The Cards in the end had too much in all positions for the Jaspers to close out and shock the 2014 NCAA Tourney. Ashton Pankey led Manhattan with 16 points.

U of L Cards will meet the Billikens of St. Louis who came back on the NC State Wolfpack earlier in the night.
