The UConn Huskies shoot 41 of 44 in two games in the East Region when it counted most. They also guarded better than any team outside of the Michigan State Spartans to capture the East Region and head to the 2014 Final Four in Dallas, Texas.

Behind UConn's Super Guard Duo of Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright and the play of Small Forward DeAndre Daniels...the Huskies out last the Spartans 70-64 at New MSG. Napier had a game-high 25 points with Boatright adding 11 but they combined to shoot 13 of 13 from the Stripe. Throw in Daniels' 12 points and eight boards (4-5 FT) and those three accounted for 48 of UConn's 70 points and 17 of 18 from the Stripe.

State not making any excuses didn't play well and that had a lot to do with the UConn Defense. Sparty committed 16 turnovers to UConn's 8 and also shot 8 Free Throws to UConn's 22 and that was the difference in the game along with the Defense played by the Huskies. It was the unforced and Live Turnovers that spelled "Gloom and Doom" for Green as they will look back on this one and wish they would have taken care of the Orange a little better. Super Soph Gary Harris led with 22 points with Senior Adreian Payne adding 13 points and nine boards. They were the only two SPartans in double figures.

UConn will meet the 36-2 Florida Gators in Dallas as Sparty ends a magnificent 2013-14 season at 29-9...
