Look what the wind blew in as the Mavericks after getting smacked in Charlotte by the Bobcats the night before with No Air Jordan on the Hardwood go into Pacers Land USA and get a "W". The Pacers looked as though they were all going their separate ways for the All-Star Break and forgot the Mavs were in front o them not the Washington Generals.
Team @MCuban does it behind the 214's G.O.A.T. and favorite Bubble Gum "DIRK-liscious" Nowitzki's 18 and six boards and Monta Ellis' 23 points, nine boards, and six helpers as he looked G.S.W. circa 2005. A low-scoring affair with the Mavs leading 44-42 at the break with the Pacers getting back to Blue Collar Hoops to get them out of the jam to take a 62-60 lead. The Pacers would then score a poultry eleven points in the 4th and final frame to lose 81-73 as the Mavs out score them 21-11. It was the Dirk and Monta Show with sprinklings of Jose Calderon (4 pts 4 asst) and Brandan Wright (7 pts 5 rebs) down the stretch.
The Pacers were led by PG George Hill's 14 and five assist as Lance Stephenson and Danny Granger add 13 apiece and D-West and PG-24 12 apiece. The Pacers just had it on cruise control too long. Shooting just above 32% from the field and 16 turnovers from a team that came in 40-11 is inexcusable to say the least.
The Pacers now 40-12 might have a Heat Team that is just two games back at nights end. The Mavs holding of the surging Grizzlies move to 32-22...
