Defensively they are led by Backers Patrick Willis (currently playing with a Fractured Hand) and Navarro Bowman. They are stout up front as they lose some of that depth to they can't pay everybody. The Smith Boys (Justin and Aldon) lead that front and they should be just fine under D-Coordinator Vic Fangio. The Corners are their weakest position and it just got thinner as CB Chris Culliver just went down with an ACL and he is done for 2013. Then there is 2013 FA Pick Up Nnamdi Asomugha who somewhere between the Black Hole and the Linc lost all covering skills. He is playing like Mavericks where he lost Goose in "Top Gun"...he has a confidence problem...keep sending him out there.
Key Players

RB Gore
TE/WR V-Davis

49ers O-Line
Defense
DT J-Smith
DE A-Smith
OLB Brooks
ILBs Willis/Bowman
CB Rogers
SS Whitner
FS Eric Reid (2013 1st round pick)
Watch 2013 Rookies in DE Tank Carridine and DE Corey Lemonier..they are both Keepers and next in line after Justin Smith.
The Offense will need to adjust to limited WRs as they as we go to press are working out free agent WRs now as Crab won't be ready until late 2013. Don't worry if that Passing game is limited that Run Game will not be.
Defensively they are going to have to get a lot of pressure as that Secondary looks very vulnerable...very vulnerable. The NFL already knows Smith needs Smith to be effective and those Backers might have to blitz a lot more in 2013.
Key 2013 Schedule Dates
Sep 8 vs Packers
Sep 15 @ Seahawks
Sep 26 @ Rams

Oct 13 vs Bird Gang
Nov 17 @ Who Dat

There are no easy outs on that schedule as the NFL gave them the "Gauntlet" without Dirty Harry and his Squeeze....but the Niners can have that Bus they were on.
