Where do you start as there are some Players having career years that will be left out on the list. The Bluedude has taken careful consideration to not just Bombs, getting Ducks in off the Pond, and Average but also the impact they have on a game to game basis which is those three things I mentioned plus a few other variables. Taking a look at the 2014 AL M.V.P. Candidates with the Leader:

AL 2014 M.V.P. Leader:

Mike Trout dba "Millville Meteor" #Halos

Are you serious and those of you who saw the late great Yankees Great Mickey Mantle well the version as close to the "Mickster" as you can get plays for Team Rally Monkey in Orange County, California for the Halos. His OPS is 1.005 (#1 in AL) with an OBP of .400 (2nd only to Jays Jose Bats). Coming off an All-Star game M.V.P. 2014 Trout has the "IT" Factor and when you see it "IT" is all that scattered, smothered, and covered going Entree!

AL 2014 M.V.P. Followers:

Miguel Cabrera dba "Miggy of the D" #MotorCityKitties

He is just starting to get hot and with his Teammate Victor Martinez (Another AL M.V.P. Candidate) hitting behind him..it could be a Three-Peat. He is leading the AL with 75 RBIs as his HR Numbers are down.

Nelson Cruz #OsHardball

Out of nowhere as the rangers let him walk and right fully so but even Skip Showalter or the O's could not have seen these numbers coming! At .287 28 HRs 74 RBIs and an OPS of .923....If it wasn't for Cruz with "Crush" Davis playing like Chris Davis the O's would not be leading the AL East...real talk!

Jose Abreu dba "El Canon" #SouthSideHitMen

They took a chance as in Sox Chairman J.R. (Jerry Reinsdorf) and the Hit or Miss is a huge Hit. AT .292 29 HRS 73 RBIs and he missed ten games go figure. He has been better than advertised and the Pale Hose would be playing Home Games in nearby Gary, Indiana if it wasn't for Abreu's almost nightly heroics!

Victor Martinez dba "V-Mart" #MotorCityKitties

The Tigers knew something we didn't as they dump "Prince of the D" as in Prince Fielder for more reasons than just in the Line Up as Victor Martinez can flat out rake! AT .328 (tied for 4th in AL) and a robust OPS of .991 (2nd in AL) with 21 HRs and 55 RBIs' hitting behind "Miggy"...absolutely ridiculous!
