The Florida Marlins were dead near the "muddy" Mississippi River as Fish Starter Andrew Heaney could not get past the 4th. The Redbirds greeted him with five runs on eight hits including two "Big Flies" in the 4th. The first Bomb was delivered by Allen Craig a two-run Blast and the 2nd a Solo Shot by Jhonny Peralta and all that Jazz ended Heaney's Day.

With the Redbirds leading 5-1 after the 4th Cards Starer Shelby Miller was cruising until a rough 6th inning. The Fish hang a crooked three compliments of Marlins LF Chris Yelich (2 for 5 w/2 runs and 3 RBIs)  going three-run HR to  make it 5-4 Cards as Miller left with three runs and nine hits on his Tab. It was then shutout Innings until the 9th as Redbirds Captain Save-A-Game Trevor Rosenthal gives up the game-tying run on a single by the Marlins Casey McGehee. Rosenthal was then replaced Sam Freeman who promptly gave up the game-winning single by Marlins Jeff Baker.

The Marlins go onto win 6-5 moving to 42-45 and just 6.5 games off the pace in the NL East. The Redbirds chasing the "Brew Crew" falls to 47-41 as that is good for 4.5 games back in the NL Central.
