It doesn't get any better than this as on the heels of the Pirates and Reds battling in the Central as they are 3rd and 4th the Brew Crew and Redbirds do battle as they are 1st and 2nd. The Cards are coming off taking 3 of 4 from the Buccos in St. Louis. The Brewers are coming of getting swept in four games by the Phightin' Phils in Milwaukee as that NL Central Race ha tightened up considerably.

The Redbirds will miss the Shows best Back Stop in Yadier Molina nursing a Thumb Injury and out 8-12 weeks. The Brew Crew's Achilles Heel in the last month or so has been their Starting Pitching. That must improve as they have Ace Gallardo going tonight with the Redbirds Ace "Waino" going Saturday. Redbirds back just two games of the Brewers for the lead!
