The Grizzlies took the lead midway through the 2nd frame and never looked back as they get all hands on deck and four starters in double figures. The Blazers losing #3 in row has to get back to the drawing board and pay more attention to what got them to twenty plus over the .500 mark.
Behind a "Night out with the Grind House Bigs" (Marc Gasol 19 pts 9 rebs 7 asst & Z-Bo 18 pts 12 rebs 4 asst) the Blazers had no chance at getting into the Winner's Circle. Went hose Boys in the Paint are going for Memphis call the National Guard...real talk and if you need an escort down a dark beatin' path don't call the Ghost Busters...call Marc and Zach. PG Mike Conley Jr added 17 points with Shooting Guard Courtney Lee chipping in with 16 points. The Blazers knew going in they could not get behind double figures the way the Grizz play "D" especially with the Memphis Dry Rub near.
The Blazers get a "Monster Night" as Damian Lillard goes "License to Lillard" trying to beat Memphis Blue and White through downtown as he goes for a game-high 32 points and seven helpers. LaMarcus Aldridge added 19 points and ten boards but the Blazers could not get any closer than nine the entire 2nd half. Rip City allowed Grit and Grind to shoot 50% from the field and the Arc and coming out of he Motel you cannot let the home team do that!
Grizz moves to 37-26 as Rip City falls to 42-22. As for catching the Grizzlies in the West the Suns or Mavs...good luck with that!
