Now you can say Mavs back up PG Devin Harris has come full circle as the Mavs up 30 points at one point midway through the 2nd frame almost blew it in the end as the Rip City Blazers came storming back.
The Mavs came out the gate hunting and trying to put the "Skunk Rule" o the Portland Trailblazers leading 33-10 after one and 57-38 at the break. NBA Games are full of runs but the Mavs had no idea the Rip City Blazers would make their run to get back in it all in the 3rd frame. The Blazers ran off a blazin' 36-18 3rd frame to end the 3rd 75-74 Mavs with Big D Pro Hoops Nation stunned beyond belief. The Mavs though with one of the best in the Logo with the X and O's in Coach Carlisle...made enough plays down the stretch to hold off an embarrassing "L" and a lot had to do with the plays made by Mavs PG Devin "D.H." Harris.
Harris made a Money Ball to put the Mavs up 90-89 at the seven minute mark then tallied four more points plus two crucial thefts to end the game....Mavs 103 Blazers 98. The Mavs G.O.A.T. led Big D with 22 points with PG Jose Caldron with 19, Monta 17, and Devin 12 as the only Mavs players in double figures. The Mavs forced 19 Blazer Turnovers and couple that with a +10 in made Free Throws...that saved them from falling right out of that #8 slot in the West.
Rip City All-Star and the Logo's only Train in Dallas, Texas Area Native LaMarcus Aldridge led all scorers with 30 points as he also hauled in seventeen boards. Blazers Shooting Guard Wes Matthews Jr. added 26 points including four Money Balls. 2nd-Year ex-Kings Lottery Pick Thomas Robinson chipped in with 11 points and nine boards as the Blazers Coaching Staff build more and more trust with him with All-Star PG Damian Lillard struggling all night with just ten points.
Mavs move to 37-26 as they stay ahead of the Grizzlies for now. The Blazers fall to 42-20 as they sit in the 5th slot just a 1/2 game behind the #3 Red Nation Rockets.
