The Spurs Balanced Attack was better then the Mavs Three-Player Attack as Alamo City Pro Hoops Nation welcomed back French Point God Tony Parker from an assortment of Maladies. The Mavs hung tough through three and a half frames but in the end too much balance from the Spurs playing Spur Wars.
The Spurs led just 48-47 at the break when they went into "Spur Wars" Mode in the 2nd half led by Parker. The Spurs took a 78-70 lead in the 4th and that lead held up as it was Parker, Ginoboli, and Duncan who brought the Spurs home. Parker led "Spur Wars" with 22 points and seven assists. Dunc added 17 points and nine boards with Kawhi Leonard adding 16 and seven boards. The Spurs had six players in double figures and does Kawhi Leonard make that much of a difference for the Spurs in the line up.
The Mavs get 22 points from Dirk and 21 from Vince Carter as they had to carry the load with Monta adding 17 points and eight assists. The Mavs just didn't get any scoring punch from anyone else and moving forward those three plus two more players must combine to help carry the Mavs Offensive Load. Mavs took care of the Orange only committing seven turnovers to the Spurs ten turnovers. It was 14 free throw attempts the Mavs had to the Spurs 28 as they were the aggressor.
Spurs quietly and methodically staying close to the Thunder moving to 43-16. The Mavs now having lost two in a row needs to get back on the Winning Track as the West is action-packed as Big D falls to 36-25.
