Players love to see the Team that traded them away like we appreciate you but your services are no longer wanted here as you here the proverbial, " We are moving an another direction". Well ex-Forever Purple Sniper Marcus Thornton was moving in another direction tonight versus his old team...try moving right into "BUCKETS"!
"Machine Gun" Thornton came right out of the Pen and goes 27 for 27 as ESPN goes 30 for 30. Thornton had 27 points in just over 27 minutes and 15 of that 27 was from the Statue of Liberty over the Brooklyn Bridge right into the Barclays. Nets All-Star Joe Johnson added 18 points as the Nets leading 49-40 at the break stretched that lead to a 77-65 lead after three. The Kings didn't get any closer as the Nets at one point just under five minutes to go in the 4th up 101-76 and putting Team Cow Bells out of the Barclays.
Kings soon to be All-Star @boogiecousins dba DeMarcus Cousins had a monster 28 points as he hauled in some twenty Oranges but also had six turnovers. Rudy Gay added 20 points with PG Isaiah Thomas chipping in with ten as the Kings fall right back into their Summer Home...the NBA Lottery at 22-41. The Nets at 31-30 moved just four games back of the Toronto Raptors in the Atlantic Division.
360 Degrees...make no mistake about it the original "Machine Gun" with an Orange was the ABA's San Diego Conquistadors Scoring Guard Travis "Machine Gun" Grant....and you know nothing about that!
