People close saw it coming as former Steelers 2008 1st round Running Back Rashard Mendenhall calls it a career at the age of 26 years old. A promising Running Back that found himself after his January 1st, 2012 Torn ACL suffered against the Browns never the same running back.

A former HS All-American at Nile West High School in Skokie, Illinois (Bluedude saw him play twice at Niles West...A Monster) and a Track Star chose to stay in the State and play for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini. Her arrived there at the age of 17 as he was drafted at the age of 20 by the Steelers #23 overall in the 2008 NFL Draft. AT Illinois he broke out his junior season amassing over 1600 yards and a huge performance against the USC Trojans in the 2008 Rose Bowl.

With the Steelers he took over for RB Willie Parker in 2008 and in his first Professional Game suffered a season-ending injury to his shoulder as Ravens Backer Ray Lewis put him out. His best NFL Season was in 2010 as he rushed for over 1,200 plus yards and had thirteen in your end zone. The 2011 season he struggled as he missed the 1k yard mark and then suffered the Knee Injury in Week 17 the last game of the season.

Mendenhall was then picked up by the Steelers in the Desert dba Arizona Cardinals as former Steelers O-Coordinator now Cards Lead Man Bruce Arians grabbed Mendenhall and he was semi-productive but was never he same back. Arians was Mendenhall's O-Coordinator in his years with the Steelers.
