If you would have told Memphis Tigers Lead Man Josh Pastner that Shaq Goodwin will have 5 points and Joe Jackson three points he would have told you we will lose this one. U of L Coaching Legend Rick Pitino had the right game plan it's just the Cards couldn't buy a bucket.

Memphis gets 18 points from Michael Dixson Jr. and Chris Crawford hits 4 of 5 from the Arc as the Memphis Tigers go onto beat the Cards of Lousiville 72-66 in the grind House on Beale Street. Both Austin Nichols (14 pts) and Geron Johnson (15 pts) picked up where Goodwin and Jackson never started to balance out the Tigers attack. The + 6 from the Stripe and timely play making drove them to victory vs the Cards.

Louisville gets 25 points and a dozen Oranges from Montrezl Harrell and 19 points from Russ Smith as they shot 4 for 23 from deep. Luke Hancock added 11 points but the Cards needed a 4th scorer or needed to get easier buckets as the Tigers did it in Transition Offense in the 2nd half. Now the Cards are tied with the Cincinnati Bearcats who also lost to UConn today at 13-3 in AAC Play. The SMU Mustangs quietly staying close moved to 12-4 as they are a game behind both Cincy and the 'Ville.
