It was a duel to the very end as it goes eight shots deep in the shootout, both Net Minders go Vezina Trophy, Hockey Town USA's Datsyuk goes 5-Star in front of the Home Folks, and in the end it was all about Team USA's Net Minder Jonathan Quick and Right Winger T.J. Oshie.

Both Teams cored in the 2nd and 3rd periods as Team USA scored behind the Ducks Cam Fowler and the Sharks Joe Pavelski. The Russian get two goals by Winger Pavel Datysuk as he displayed some of the best hands and stick-handling in the World. The Russians had a potential game-winner as their 3rd goal late in the 3rd frame was disallowed due to High Stick.
   
It then went to the shootout as both Net Minders were on their game and its as the Blue Notes Oshie going some 4 for 6 including the winner in the 8th Round as Quick stopped the Russians Ilya Kovalchuk. Quick saves 29-31 and Brobovsky saves 31-33.

Team USA now moves to Sunday Morning February 16, 2014 at 730am ET to play Slovenia. If Team USA wins that game they will automatically qualify for the Quarterfinals.
