The New Orleans Pelicans get a new lead man as current "Dubs" lead assistant Alvin Gentry will become State Bird of Louisiana's Hoops lead after Monty Williams was relieved of his duties after losing ironically to the "Dubs" in round 1 of the 2K15 "Fight for Larry".

Gentry has had lead man posts before in Miami, Detroit, L.A. Clippers, and the Phoenix Suns. Looking at even closer Pelicans GM Dell Demps made the hirer as Gentry from 1997-200 worked with then Pistons GM Joe Dumars. Now Dumars who is really close to Pelicans President of Basketball Operations Mickey Loomis has been rumored to be next in line to get the Pelicans GM Job when it becomes vacant putting two and two together.

Gentry has compiled a 335-370 W-L in his dozen seasons as an NBA lead man. He will have a nice roster to work with led by the other side of King James in the "Logo" in the "Brow" Anthony Davis. Davis leads a core of players in RekeHavoc Evans, Eric Gordon, Jrue Holiday, and Ryan Anderson.

Stay tuned fro more State Bird of Louisiana Hoops Business...

Note: NBA on ABC Color Man Jeff Van Gundy was in the lead with Gentry for the Pelicans Job...
