Just like that they have caught fire on the Senior Circuit and MLB Inter League Play and a steady diet recently of the Pale Hose dba Chicago White Sox and Junior Circuit Road Kill didn't hurt. It's a combination of few things as the Buccos are 39-27 as we go to press winners of 8 game sin a row!

#BUCN Top Stars for 2015

RHP Gerrit Cole "Ace" of the Buccos Starting Rotation

It did not take long for Mr. Cole to emerge as the Pirates clear cut #1 on the starting staff. He is 11-2 as we go to press with a sparkling 1.68 ERA and 97 K's to just 22 free passes. To make matters worse for hitters they are hitting just .227 against Cole in 91 frames.

LF Starlin Marte

He is part of the best OF in the Show and he is a Monster as his leather is steadily improving. At the Dish (249 AB's most of any Pirate) with 12 bombs and 45 ribbies hitting a solid .285. He also leads in runs scored (37), Hits (71), HR (12), and RBI (45) as Andrew McCutchen plays alongside of him in the OF and that helps his leather tremendously!   (Marte Video below)

3B Josh Harrison

Looking like and playing like former Bucs "We R' Family" hot corner Bill "Mad Dog" Madlock but faster on the pond Harrison is a keeper. Emerging as one of the best hot corners in the show he handles both the Ash, Maple, or Bamboo well at the dish and throw serious leather at 3rd. His .284 average, 34 runs, and 16 two-baggers is among Pirates leaders.

RHP A.J. Burnett

Burnett has come full circle as he landed back in the 'Burgh and was suppose to be a #3 at best more of a 4 and has surprised even himself. At 6-2 with a 1.89 ERA and hitters hitting just .233 against him he has been better than good. Now can he hold up as he will get around 20 more starts in the 2015 season.

Buccos Skipper Clint Hurdle

Unassuming but one helluva Skip a true player's manager as that has resonated through the Bucs Club House. They are just 4.5 games back of the blazin' Redbirds (43-23) who ranks as the 31 outfit in the Show through June 18, 2015.

CF "Cutch 22

C'mon the former NL M.V.P. is what he is a Superstar and needs no further intro...
