The Minnesota Twins are right in the middle of the AL Central Race and we are in June Hardball as Skip Paul Molitor has put his stamp all over the Twinkies. They needed a huge outing though on Sunday from Starter Mike Pelfrey as the Twinkies were facing a possible sweep at the hands of the "Piwowarzy" of Beer Town U.S.A dba Milwaukee Brewers.

After all that smoke cleared Pelfrey answered the bell and was magnificent as Twin Cities Hardball escapes with a 2-0 shut out ""W on "Get Away Day" in the Show! Pelfrey scatters eight hits through eight with seven strike outs and one free pass.

The Twinkies Offense was supplied by two hits a two-bagger by Eddie Rosario scoring Torii Hunter. Then a three-bagger by Eduardo Escobar scoring Rosario all in the 2nd frame which was all Pelfrey and Twinkies Captain Save-A-Game Glen Perkins would need. "Perk" picks up his 21st save against 24 chances.

Brew Crew starter Mike Fiers was the hard-luck starter on this day as he was gone after 4 1/3 frames as he allowed two runs on seven hits as he falls to 2-6 in 2015. Brewers fall to 20-37 as the Twinkies move to 33-23 just one game ahead of the 2nd place K.C. Royals in the Central.
