The Chicago White Sox #1 pick (#3 overall) in the 2014 MLB Amateur Draft LHP Carlos Rodon has been as good as advertised. He gets his 3rd "W" versus one defeat on Saturday at the "Cell" 3-2 as he beats the Texas Rangers 3-2.

Rodon goes six allowing two runs on four hits walking three while striking out five. The Pale Hose three-run 3rd frame aided them in the win as the Rangers picked up a crooked two on Rodon in the 2nd for their two runs.

Texas starter Nick Martinez pitched well enough to keep his ball club in the hunt for a "W" as he goes   six allowing three runs on six hits. For both you take it those rough patches in the 3rd and 5th you have an entirely different game possibly going into extras as both Pens did their part.

The Pale Hose move to 29-38 and that was after losing four straight to the Pittsburgh Pirates this past week. The Rangers at 37-32 have moved up considerably since the middle of May as they are just a Rawlings Hardball throw from the first place Houston Astros.
