Excuses are "Tools for the Incompetent" as Rain Delays are a part of the Show especially this season and in the month of June. Having said that explain the St. Louis Cardinals 2015 W-L a robust 51-24 as they hammer the North Siders in the three-piece leaving the Chicago's Senior Circuit Outfit plenty to think about the rest of the way.

It was Redbirds starter Carlos Martinez (9-3) doing the honors tonight going six and allowing one run on a sac-fly off the Ash, Maple, or Bamboo of Cubbies Star first baseman Anthony Rizzo. That Redbirds Offense doubled the Cubbies to death as an RBI single in the 2nd by Xavier Scruggs gave St. Louis a 1-0 lead after two.

Then it was 1-1 in the 4th when both Jason Heyward and Yadier Molina doubled off Cubbies starter Jason Hammel scoring two runs and a 3-1 Cards lead. Hammel (5-3) who has been the Cubbies most consistent starter to date was roughed up through four plus giving up four runs on six hits.

A Matt Carpenter two-bagger in the 5th on Cubbies middle man James Russell capped the scoring at 4-1 as the Redbirds outscores Chicago 15-4 in the three-piece. What's even more remarkable there are some big names on that Cards DL starting with RHP and Ace Adam "Waino" Wainright who is out for the remainder for the 2015 season. I know it's not "Whitey Ball" but "Matheny Ball" is super-delicious right now in the show!

Cubs fall to 39-35 and with plenty of time remaining its safe to say they are playing for an NL Wild Card Slot unless the San Andrea Fault takes out St. Louis and new Busch!

Redbirds Captain Save-A-Game Trevor Rosenthal was absolutely filthy in the 9th grabbing his 23rd save of 2015...throwing upwards of 98 mph and has the nerve to throw an 88 mph change...silly!
