The Chicago Cubs lose three of four from the division rival St. Louis Cardinals as Redbirds Starter John Lackey finishes the North Siders off on "Get Away Day" in  game #4. Lack was impressive in allowing a run on five hits as he walked one and struck out ten through seven plus innings of work.

The Cardinals at the dish scored two in the 2nd and two in the 4th and all that was highlighted by a single, double and a triple. The three-bagger was off the Ash, Maple, or Bamboo of Peter Bourjos in the 2nd scoring Jason Heyward from first. The Redbird Hitters racked up ten hits on the day and five runs.

Cubbies Starter Jake Arrieta was done after five and some change allowing five runs on nine hits as four runs were earned and seven strikeouts with a free pass. He just didn't have his good stuff as the Redbirds were getting too many pitched to hit. The lone Cubs run was scored by Jorge Soler on a Starlin Castro single in the 7th.

The Redbirds leave the series at an MLB Best 21-7 with a sparkling 14-3 record coming out of the home dugout. The North Siders playing relatively tough in the series getting game #3 last night as Jon Lester moved to 2-2 falls to 14-13 tied for 2nd in the NL Central with the Red Legs.
