What do you do if your the Boston Red Sox running on Dunkin' and nowhere to go but up in the AL East. They trade both Jon Lester and John Lackey and then gets a Three-Piece near the "Muddy" Mississippi with October some 50 some odd days away!

The Redbirds meanwhile it's Business as usual as they are just one game back of the NL Central leading Brewers and trying to get back to October Hardball. They get Ace "Waino" to go seven strong allowing two run son seven hits and striking out seven. "Waino" dealing wasn't the Show on this night though.

With the Redbirds leading 3-2 heading into the 5th it was Cards Second Baseman Kolten Wong going Solo Bombs in the 5th and 7th adding much-needed insurance to the Redbirds lead. Carmines Starter Brandon Workman goes 5 1/3 innings giving up four runs on six hits walking two and striking out five. One of those Kolten Wongs Bombs (5th) was on his Tab.

The Redbirds moving 61-52 and the Carmines in the AL East Gutter at 50-64. That as we go to press is fifteen games back of the AL East leading O's!

Note: The Carmines two runs in the 3rd came on Mike Napoli and Christian Vasquez singles...
