The Chicago Cubs put on late rally vs the Dodgers to grab the "Rubber Game" as the Cubbies take two of three from Dodger Blue. The Cubbies big blow came off the bat of LF Chris Coghlan as he took LAD Starter Josh Beckett for a Two-Run Blast in the 5th breaking up a 1-1 tie.

That 3-1 Cubs lead was cut to one as Dodger RF Matt Kemp staying hot takes Cubbies Starter Edwin Jackson for a Solo Shot in the 6th to make it 3-2 Cubs. The North Siders than break the game open in the 8th scoring three as they add one more in the 9th on a Luis Valbuena Solo Bomb and the Cubbies win 7-3.

Beckett gets the loss as he falls to 6-6 with a 2.88 ERA. E-Jackson gets his 6th "W" vs 11 L's for the Cubbies moving to 47-63. The "Blue Crew" falls to 63-49 and lead the Giants by just 2.5 games in the West.
