Cubs Nation rolled into sunny Wrigley Field on Addison and Clark following the hype machine of Cubs Shortstop playing Second Base Javier Baez. Baez didn't disappoint going 1 for 4 scoring a run but it was the Rays in Extras getting the "W"!
It was the top of that Rays Order of Desmond Jennings and Ben Zobrist doing the damage on the north side today. They combined to go 5 for 10 scoring three runs and Solo HR by Jennings. They both singled in the 10th as Jennings cored the GW Run to lift the Rays past the Cubbies 4-3.
The North Siders down 3-2 in the 9th gets a Ryan Sweeney game-tying single off Rays Reliever Jake McGee. Eight Cubs gets hits as neither Starter was around in former Cubs Prospect Chris Archer pitching for the Rays and Cubs Tsuyoshi Wada.
The Rays right in the middle of the L Wild Card Race needed this one as they moves to 56-59 just five games back of getting a Wild Card. The Cubbies doing what they do making Calls to the Farm to take a look at Top Prospects.
