Let's be honest Beer Makers Nation was tailgating like it was the Packers vs Bears waiting to sweep the Dodgers and beat Clayton Kershaw. In turn Clayton Kershaw knew he could not leave Beer Town USA and the "Big Keg" Miller Park without giving all the youngsters their Sunday's Money Worth and he didn't disappoint!

Behind eight typical Kershaw Frames allowing a run on six hits and striking out six with two walks the Dodgers avoid the sweep from the "Brew Crew".  Beer Makers Nation takes an "L" but they witnessed the #1 Arm on the "Bump" in the Show not in the Captain Save-A-Game category.

The Dodgers Offense knew they had to give their #1 Ace a little breathing room and they did but not without some early unexpected turbulence in the nine inning flight! The Brew Crew struck in the 1st inning on a Ryan Braun single scoring Carlos Gomez to make it 1-0 Brew Crew!  All that hype some two hours and some change later turned into watching the "Blue Crew" shaking hands in the middle of the field as Brewers Nation gets a "Drive Home Safely"!

Dodgers First Baseman Adrian Gonzalez hit a Sac-Fly in the 3rd to tie the game at 1-1. In the 5th Matt Kemp hits a run-scoring single scoring A-Gon to make it 2-1 Dodgers. Brewers Starter Jimmy Nelson (L 6 IP 8 H 2 R 2 ER 1 BB 3 SO) pitched well enough to win but not well enough to beat Clayton. In the 7th it was A-Gon doubling scoring Carl Crawford and that would be the ball game. A.J. Ellis would later go Solo Bomb in the 8th with Kershaw singling home Miguel Rojas making it 5-1 LAD!

The Dodgers move to 67-52 as they gain a game on the down and out Gigantes who get swept by the Royals in K.C. and lead by 4.5 games. The Brewers at 65-53 lead the Redbirds in the Central by two games.
