The Detroit Tigers should know by now this isn't the 2013 AL Central and those Kansas City Royals are going to be in the rear view until October. The Royals beat the Giants again helping their own cause as well as the L.A. Dodgers in the NL West.

Riding a 5-game win streak coming in it was Royals Ace and Rays Castoff James Shields putting up a "Shield" on that San Fran Hardball Lineup shutting them out and going Complete Job with no Plumber or Electrician needed. Shields scattered four hits and walked just one Giants Hitter as he struck out five.

The Royals Offense was highlighted by OF Alex Gordon taking Gigantes Starter Tim "Huddy" Hudson for a Solo Blast in the 5th for the first run of the game. The Royals then jumped all over "Huddy" and Gigantes Reliever Jeremy Affeldt in the 7th to the tune of a crooked four and that was your ball game.

The Royals now on a six-game win streak moves to 62-53 just 1.5 games behind the Detroit Tigers. The San Francisco Giants stay 3.5 behind the Dodgers as they fall to 62-55.

Imagine Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadium Parking having big games on the same day...and take that Kansas City Sports Haters as Red Friday would be a Royal Pain in your backside!
