The New York Mets are fading as is the Phightin' Phils  and Little Havana Hardball in the 305 the Fightin' Fish. Now the supposed "Cream" is rising to the top as the Atlanta Braves try and pull away from the pack right before the Mid Summers Classic in the Twin Cities.

Both Starters Daisuke Matzuaka (L 5 IP 7 H 5 R 3 BB 5 SO 0 HR) of the Amazins' and Mike Minor (4.1 IP 9 H 4 R 1 BB 5 SO 2 HR) for the Braves didn't last long as the Fireworks were early and often in this one. The Braves score fist in the 2nd with the Nets hitting Home Runs in the 3rd and 5th behind Two-Run Bombs from Curtis Granderson and Daniel Murphy. The Braves three-run 4th inning was the difference as that Pen propelled them to victory throwing 4 2/3 of shutout innings.

The Braves sixth victory in a row as they move to 46-38 and a 1/2 game up on the Washington Wizards. The Mets fading in the distance falls to 37-47 and that is nine games back as wee go to press.      Adrelton Simmons led the Chop Shop going 2 for 4 with two RBIs and scoring a run. Braves Captain Save-A-Game Craig Kimbrel gets his 26th save in 30 chances...
