I didn't see this coming as Cubs Nation hasn't been this happy since the 2004 Season when  the Cubbies were rolling the Senior Circuit behind the likes of "Kid K" Kerry Wood and Mark "Now on a Milk Carton" Prior. The North Siders go into Fenway for a Nostalgic Inter League Three-Piece only to come out holding a Broom and Dust Pan talking "In Theo Epstein we Trust"!

The Cubs and Red Sox broke out into a Fast Pitch Softball Game on Hump Day as the Cubbies go for broke scoring a whopping 16 runs on 19 hits. They put crooked numbers up in the 1st, 4th, 5th, and a game-high six run 9th inning sending Red Sox Nation Home thinking we might not be that good in 2014. Cubs Starter Travis Wood and Red Sox Starter Brandon Workman didn't do much of anything as did any other Pitcher in this game of slowing down the bats.

The Carmines scored 9 runs on 16 hits as Dustin Pedroia and Brock Holt each collected three hits. Back to the Cubs as they collected some Four Bombs behind Justin Ruggiano, Mike Olt, Wellington Castillo, and Nathan Schierholtz who stays hot. Only Schierholtz was a Solo Bomb as the other three were Two-Run Blasts!

The North Siders leaving behind all those thoughts of the "Goat" and "Bartman" moves to 37-46 with some much-needed momentum. The Carmines at 38-47 with only one way to go from here...and that is north in the AL East.
