The LA Clippers came out like gang busters and took care of business early and often as they rolled right past the New Phoenix Suns. The Suns Bigs had no answer for Clips All-Star Big Blake Griffin as he just had his way including his game to game "Splash Plays".
Behind a 62-45 cushion at the break and a somewhat comfortable 90-76 lead after thee the Clips beat the Suns 112-105. A rather sloppy affair with 37 combined turnovers (Clippers 21) L.A. just took it right to the PHX Hoops. Shooting a robust 55% plus from the field and the Clips have Blake and the Suns do not.
Griffin making a case to land among the Top NBA M.V.P. Candidates blitzed the Suns Front Court with 37 points on 14 of 16 from the field and 9 of 10 from the stripe. His partner in crime DeAndre Jordan grabbed seventeen Oranges and 8 points. The Clips like the Brooklyn Nets playing two lead guards with CP3 (17 pts 11 assists) and Darren Collison (20 pts) have become and "Effective Team". Throw in "Pretty Ricky" Matt Barnes doing his Blue-Collar low-maintenance work on the wing the Clips all together have become an "Effective Team".
The Suns get 23 points and five helpers from Goran Dragic and 16 points each from Markieff Morris and Gerald Green. The Suns played well enough to win but versus the top-tier West Team like the Clips. Falling nearly twenty points behind Teams you are chasing in the division and the conference and no a good omen for the Suns moving forward.
The Clips at 45-20 still in the #4 slot in the West picks up a game on the Warriors. The Suns with the loss fall out of the Top eight in the West for the first time in four months as 36-27 is #9 as idle Memphis moves to #8.
