The Oklahoma City Thunder needed this win on a few different fronts vs the visiting Grizzlies of Memphis. One OKC needed to break the losing streak and for things moving forward it's not broken as they need minor adjustments not an complete overhaul. The Grizz hung tough but it was too much KD and Russ for the Grizz to handle on this night.

OKC looked like they were going to cruise on into the night as they jumped out to a 57-42 lead at the break. That lead increased by one by the end of the 3rd frame to 87-71. The Grizz with all those Dawgs on the roster took an "L" but didn't go quietly finally losing 113-107. OKC's All-Star Kevin Durant led all scorers with 37 as he shot 12 of 24 and 10 for 10 from the stripe. Russell Westbrook more controlled on this night but still Russ added 21 points an six helpers with Ibaka chipping in with 16 points and nine boards. OKC won by being more aggressive as they went to the line some 32 times to Memphis going twenty times.

The Grizz had six players in double figures led by M&M Plain dba Mike Miller's 19 points including four Money Balls. Gasol added 17 points with Z-Bo 13 points and grabbing ten Oranges. That hole Memphis dug early was too much to overcome playing the best W-L in the West. The Grizz shot above 50% from the field and 60% from the Arc but those extra Free Throws OKC put up was a major difference.

OKC moves to 44-15 as thy finally start heading North in the win column. The Grizz falls to 32-25 as they still have plenty of work to do but are sitting in a nice slot to make their move in March and April.
